Welcome to Jamieson's Labradors
Breeding English Type Labrador Retrievers that are registered with the Canadian Kennel Club. We are located in the Maritimes, Prince Edward Island, Canada.
I have been breeding purebreds since I got my first Cavalier King Charles Spaniel in January of 2006. Being a dog lover big and small I decided to venture and add the beautiful fun loving Labrador Retriever to our family in late 2018. Hunting buddies, couch potatoes and shadows…
All our dogs and puppies are raised in home and are a part of the family. So they enjoy everyday living and tons of snuggles. I do NOT have a kennel setup. To help make this possible, over the years I have had the opportunity to foster some of my dogs with family and friends and sometimes new friends. This works well for the dogs as it allows them to get more one on one time everyday plus they tend to retire with their foster families. They come back and forth here with me from time to time to be bred and then again to have and raise their puppies. Whether here with me full time or part time I cherish each and every one.
I have chosen back when I decided to get into breeding to focus on purebreds and health testing as I believed that was in the best interest of the breed and till this day I still do. I have found some wonderful breeders over the years to work with and am grateful!
As for the show ring….. It’s never been a passion for me in itself but over the years I have sent dogs with handles and off to the shows. Some have pointed and some have become Champions but they are all champions at heart!
Labradors come in 3 recognized colors… black, chocolate, and yellow. We have a love for the chocolate Labradors as you can see, we focus more on that color. Though we focus more on chocolate we will from time to time have yellow and black.
