Yes, I breed purebreds! Adults and puppies are registered with the CKC (Canadian Kennel Club). It is the only registry recognized in Canada as purebred. As a member of the CKC in good standing I am required to register my litters and provide Registration papers to the new owners.
Absolutely yes! I take my dogs to my vet on a regular basis as well as specialists. Hips & Elbows are x-rayed and certified, heart echo cleared, eyes cleared for breeding and multiple DNA tests done for diseases.
Yes I take the pups to the vet for a thorough vet checkup. They will get their 1st set of puppy vaccines, microchip put in, weighed, etc. They get a good go over and given lots of love! They will also be wormed at 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks old.
I microchip. I purchase the microchips directly from the CKC so the chip is registered to you once I register the pup into your name. I also keep my info on file with them so that they can reach out to me if for some reason they can not get ahold of you. I'm backup just encase. 🙂
Absolutely not! I do mostly focus on chocolate but may on occasion have black or yellow. I only breed the 3 recognized colors which are chocolate, black, and yellow. Any other color is a disqualification to the CKC standards. I DNA test so that the silver dilute gene is not present therefore will not produce in my litters.
Puppies are ready for homes at 8 weeks old usually, as long as are doing well and I was able to get them for their vet checkup. I have kept some back a bit longer to watch to see how they are developing if I was keeping one back for potential breeding or showing. Otherwise they can be picked up at 8 weeks old. I will arrange a day and time for pick around that timeframe.
I will post updates about puppies and upcoming litters on the puppies page and or the updates page when I can. I do try to keep it up to date but sometimes things do get extra busy and I may not get it updated right away so don't hesitate to contact me. I will keep a potential waitlist as well so if you are on my waitlist you will get updates directly by e-mail before updates are posted on the website.
Yes I do. I keep a potential waitlist and my waitlist is contacted first before posting any updates of puppies available on the website. I do require a questionnaire filled out to go on the waitlist. It's nothing personal, but helps for me to get to know you a bit better and to cover a few things. I do not require a deposit put down to go on the waitlist. I only require a deposit once pups are born and you want me to hold one for you till they are ready to go to their new home with you. Email me to request a questionnaire to go on the waitlist!
Yes , I have a written personal contract with guarantee as well as a contract with the CKC for non-breeding. All pups are sold on a non-breeding contract unless otherwise discussed.
